The Audi RS6 is one of the few wagons that make for a constant presence at drag racing events. And this is one of the reasons for which certain owners have chosen to take their super-estates down the aftermarket route - a modded RS6 Avant offers better protection against the natural enemy of this machine, namely the tuner car.
Of course, this doesn't stop heavily modded vehicles from taking on the mighty RS6 and we're here to talk about an example of that.

The C7 RS6 we have here has seen its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 fitted with serious mods and the engine now deliver north of 800 ponies - thanks to the quattro all-paw hardware, the dog-friendly machine has no troblu putting its newfound muscle to the road.

As for its competitor, this is another Ingolstadt toy, namely a first-gen Audi TT (you know, the one that shares its chassis with the good old VW Golf Mk IV).

The not-that-generous engine compartment of the sportscar has been brimmed with a VR6 motor that works with a massive turbo. And as a result of the extreme trip to the gym, the powerplant is said to deliver 1,000 hp, at least according to the YouTuber who caught the whole shenanigan on camera.

The pair of four-ringed toys got together on an airfield, engaging in a one-kilometer race that involved a rolling start.

Note that the factor which decides the winner is the trap speed delivered at the end of the run and you'll be able to see this in the video.

Speaking of which, while the peak velocity of the TT is impressive, it does seem like a machine with the power-to-weight ratio of this kind could've climbed even higher, but perhaps the aero of the vehicle needs more work.

Nevertheless, perhaps the best side of this Audi TT is the fact that its only-slightly-changed exterior makes it entirely worthy of the sleeper label.
