The milestone production vehicle is of course the 2014 CTS sedan, the flagship model ready to take on BMW and Audi in America and abroad. It's only one in a long line of Cadillac models that have been made there since the factory was opened in 2001.

Right now, 1,541 employees are working there, 1,351 hourly and 190 salaried. The factory is unionized and covers 2.5 million square feet.
