Ever heard of Sir Stirling Moss? He’s 86 years old at the present moment, which means that he’s officially a pensioner. Be that as it may, this senior citizen of the UK still has a knack for fast cars.
Before Sir Stirling crashed hard in 1962 during the Glover Trophy and gave up professional racing, the greatest driver never to win the World Championship made a name for himself on the track. One of his best moments is the 1958 Silverstone Grand Prix. There, Sir Stirling took the Lister Knobbly to victory.

Almost six decades since that magnificent win, Sir Stirling Moss agreed to borrow his name for a hand-crafted recreation of the super lightweight racecar he drove in 1958. Introducing the Lister Jaguar Stirling Moss.

Only 10 examples of the car will ever be made in road or track specification and good golly, they have not sold out yet. Bear in mind that none of the original works Knobbly race cars have survived the passing of time.

This, then, makes the Lister Jaguar Stirling Moss quite an opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the greatest vehicles to come out of the United Kingdom, a country with a vast amount of motorsport heritage.

The specs speak for themselves. Engine? 3.8-liter Jaguar straight-six with a wide angle head and magnesium sump. Transmission? A 4-speed manual with a magnesium clutch casing. Body shell? Made by hand from lightweight magnesium. And then there’s the chassis of the car, which happens to be made from tubular 16 gauge steel. In other words, the Lister Jaguar Stirling Moss is made to Brian Lister's works specification, from the same blueprints.

More information is available in the PDF brochure below. Before you check that out and before I end this write-up, I’m much obliged to tell you that the £1 million price (including taxes) represents more than just the car per se.

Here’s a list of goodies included for every person who acquires one of the 10 units of the bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful Lister Jaguar Stirling Moss:

  • An intimate dinner with Sir Stirling Moss, photographs with the racing legend, and an autograph on your Lister owner's handbook.
