The Roland Sands TMAX Hyper Modified maxi scooter is the most radical of the series. With a lot of hacking and sawing involved, and most of the bodywork changed completely, the TMAX Hyper Modified Roland Sands harks back to the minimalist shape of the unfinished base model.

Lighter and much more agile thanks to custom exhaust and wheels, the TMAX Hyper Modified Roland Sands looks weird and has a huge custom attire you just don't see anywhere else. With many of the custom parts literally built by Roland Sands specifically for this project, it was only natural that this machine ended up as a major head-turner, intriguing as it is also a high-performance two-wheeler.

Sensational French customizer Ludovic Lazareth bestowed his amazing magic on the Yamaha TMAX maxi-scooter and it has now become another mind-boggling machine in the TMAX Hyper Modified series. Lazareth and Yamaha go back a long time, as Ludovic also designed the first-ever Hyper Modified VMAX machine. His TMAX exhibits exaggerated aerodynamic lines and a lot of components used in the aircraft industry, and multiple design solutions for enhanced looks and better performance.

Realizing his TMAX was about to change dramatically, Lazareth added a supercharger to the scooter, making a speed demon from an already fast and nimble machine and transforming it into a 200 km/h machine which rides incredibly fast, sounds awesome and looks even better.

YAMAHA TMAX Hyper Modified Marcus Walz photo gallery

The Hyper Modified TMAX series of scooters is the way Yamaha shows how cool their top-range machines can be when spending some time in the garages of the world's most famous customizers. For his reinterpretation of the TMAX, German builder Marcus Walz wanted to keep the scooter as recognizable as a Yamaha machine as possible, while working his magic around the base cues. Reducing as much weight as he could Walz changed some of the parts for a more aggressive stance and sportier looks.

The handlebar area received a new trim for a more evil naked bike look, with bar-end mirrors for a classier cafe-racer look. Carbon fiber trim and a massive Akrapovic exhaust, the TMAX created by Hardcore Cycles' mastermind is a completely different game now.
