The Yamaha Tracer 900, also known as the FJ-09 in North America, MT-09 Tracer in its home country, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, and Tracer 900 in other countries, was a sport touring motorcycle that debuted in 2015, continuing to be produced until the present (2023).

In 2018, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer offered a higher-spec model under the Tracer 900 GT designation, using the same engine, frame, and body design as the base Tracer 900 model.

In addition to its standard features, the 2018 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT had installed a pair of factory color-matched panniers as a standard option, cruise control, a longer swingarm, A TFT display based on the one used by the Yamaha R1, heated grips, and a windscreen with a new design that could be adjusted while riding.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a 41 mm fully adjustable telescopic fork on the front and a preload and rebound-adjustable shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for power, the 2018 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT had its heartbeat set by an 847cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine managed by a fuel injection system with (YCC-T) control, delivering an output power of 114 hp at 10,000 rpm and 88 Nm (65 lb-ft) torque at 8,500 rpm.

The engine teamed up with a six-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate slipper and assist clutch, sending the power to the rear wheel through a final O-ring chain drive.
