Piaggio have collaborated with fashion icon Giorgio Armani and the two have jointly developed the new Vespa 946 Emporio Armani, which marks the 40th anniversary of the foundation of Giorgio Armani as well as the 130th birthday of the Piaggio Group. In keeping with Armani’s signature subtle colour palette, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani features a beautiful combination of grays with subtle hints of dark olive green that's only visible under certain light conditions. Metallic parts also get a matt finish that's in keeping with the body finish.

The words ‘Emporio Armani’ appear on the side, while the iconic Eagle logo of the brand sits above the headlight. Brown leather seat and matching luggage complete the package.

The 2014 MY Vespa 946 is the most modern-looking production scooter from the Italian engineers, and yet, still retains the trademark overall design. At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 155cc, single cylinder engine mated to a continuous variable transmission, and can produce 13 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque. The most eye-catching feature on this machine is the aluminium solo seat, hinged to the rear fairing. In addition, it comes with modern, LED lights and an LCD display, which are sure to appeal to the younger among Vespa fans.

The 2013 MY Vespa 946 is available for purchase only for European customers, and is a new mode, from the Italian engineers, that successfully combines modern design features and technologies, without straying too much from the Vespa recipe, that has remained unchanged for almost 70 years. Features to be mentioned are the aluminium seat, hinged to the bike, which brings a breath of fresh air, as well as the futuristic LED lights and the LCD screen on the dashboard, a first for all scooters from the Italian brand.
