In 1988, Suzuki launched the TV 250 Wolf model with a VJ21A type code. This model is built on the RGV250 platform and several changes have been added. The TV 250 Wolf has different turn signals, front fork and brakes, black engine, transmission ratio and other details such as foot pedal. The difference from the RGV250 is that the TV 250 adopted only one front wheel brake instead of two and had a round headlamp instead of a trapezoid. In order to better protect the two extensions of the motorcycle, they were equipped with protective walls.

This bike has a 249 cc, liquid-cooled, twin stroke engine that produces a 45 HP (33.6 KW) @ 9500 rpm and 33.7 Nm (8.8 lb-ft) @ 8000 rpm torque. The bike adopts a different transmission ratio for the gearbox and a different control unit configuration coupled with various extensions, which causes the engine to lose its maximum power but improves power at lower speeds.
