On 15 March 2022, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 was launched in India. The Scram 411 is a well-made motorcycle that can certainly run on tough terrain, and can as well be used for the urban commute, although it doesn’t perform any better than its ADV sibling.

The Scram 411 is based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and is pretty much the same bike, bringing just a few extra touches. The Scram 411 has new clocks, a softer seat, and a more vibrant color palette, but it doesn’t have a screen or crash protection.

Another change the maker did was to fit a 19-inch front wheel, smaller by 2 inches than the Himalayan’s 21-inch front wheel. The standard ABS can’t be deactivated for offroad riding like is the case with the Himalayan.

The Scram 411 is equipped with a 411cc 4 stroke single cylinder engine and an air-cooled system. It is driven by a 5-speed Constant Mesh gearbox and with this configuration, it produces 24 hp and 32 Nm torque at 4,250 rpm. With a total weight of no more than 200 kg (441 pounds), the Scram 411 isn’t the fastest adventure bike in the world and is built to a budget, but it can be very playful when you least expected it.

The Indian maker made the Scram 411 available in seven colors and put a price tag of $5,099 (2022).
