The F4 family has been enriched with a big-bore machine, in the embodiment of the 2004 MY MV Agusta F4 1000 S. It sports a new, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 998cc, transverse four cylinder engine, which can produce an impressive 166 horsepower and 109 Nm of torque. It's chassis is based on the F4 750 one, with small alterations made to accommodate the bigger displacement of the its newly designed engine.
Also, the bodywork has been designed by Massimo Tamburini, the designer behind most of the Ducati's and Bimota of the same model year. Unlike the other models from the same series, the F4 1000 has a new logo on the airbox back, a tank guard with the F4 1000 logo, an instrumentation panel with a white background tachometer and the model logo, a saddle in blue racing colours and an F4 1000 plate on the steering head.
