At the 2014 EICMA Motorcycle Show, Moto Guzzi introduced the 2015 model year lineup comprising several California-based models, including the Eldorado, California 1400 Touring Special Edition, and Audace.

In 2015, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Audace, a sporty cruiser machine based on the California model. The bike came with standard riding modes, a three-stage traction control system, and ABS Brembo brakes.

Compared to the other models, the Moto Guzzi Audace featured a more muscular appearance and differed with its blacked-out look, round headlight up front, and carbon fiber front fender. In addition, it packed a lower seat, repositioned footpegs, and a drag-style handlebar.

In the visual department, the bike had two color choices, either red or black, and packed standard features, such as a wide handlebar, a round headlight, a single seat, side-mounted rear hocks, and a dual exhaust system with a silencer on each side.

The front end was driven by a 45 mm telescopic fork and stopped by two 320 mm discs tied to four-piston calipers. In contrast, the rear end was handled by twin side-mounted adjustable shocks and a 282 mm disc with a dual-piston Brembo caliper.

As for the power figures, the 2015 Moto Guzzi Audace had installed a 1.380cc four-stroke air/oil-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank. The engine was managed by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, delivering 96 hp at 6,500 rpm and 121 Nm (89 lb-ft) torque at low 3,000 rpm.
