In 2011, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V, a more advanced version of the base Stelvio model. The 2011 Stelvio 1200 8V had several improvements that increased its overall capabilities.

The 2011 motorcycle featured new elements, such as a new headlight fairing, a larger 32-liter fuel tank, a new windscreen, a new seat, a new Continental ABS system, and new customized side panniers.

Besides its new features, the bike was similar to previous models, packing standard features, such as a dual headlight system, a wide handlebar, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a small luggage rack, an engine plate, and 10-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The bike was built around a twin-cradle tubular high tensile steel frame with a 45 mm upside-down fully adjustable fork on the front, delivering 170 mm wheel travel and an adjustable single shock absorber on the rear with 1500 mm of travel.

The braking power was handled by two 320 mm discs on the front, engaged by four-piston calipers, and a 282 mm disc on the rear, squeezed by a dual-piston caliper, delivering excellent stopping power enhanced by the ABS.

In the power department, the 2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V had its soul brought to life by a 1,151cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine, delivering an output power of 105 hp at 7,250 rpm and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) torque at 5,800 rpm.
