The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 was a dual-purpose machine in Moto Guzzi's range. It was presented in November 2007 at the Milan Motorcycle Show as a 2008 model year. The bike succeeded the Moto Guzzi Quota and was followed by the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello.

In 2015, the Italian motorcycle maker launched the Moto Guzzi 1200 NTX, a more touring-oriented motorcycle than the base model. Compared to the base model, the NTX version featured several touring accessories, enhancing its overall capabilities.

As standard, the bike was fitted with an upper fairing with a dual headlight system, a large windscreen, hand guards, a wide handlebar, a skid plate, a two-up seat with passenger grab rails, side-mounted aluminum panniers, a single-sided swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels with black rims.

The bike was built around a high tensile dual beam steel frame with a 45 mm fully adjustable inverted telescopic fork with 170 mm of travel on the front and a single-sided swingarm with an adjustable mono-shock on the rear that provided 155 mm of travel.

Braking-wise, the wheels were fitted with twin 320 mm stainless steel floating discs tied to four-piston calipers on the front and a 282 mm stainless steel disc with a dual-piston floating caliper on the rear.

The 2015 Moto Guzzi 1200 NTX had its heartbeat set by a 1,151cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine that delivered 105 hp at 7,250 rpm and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) torque at 5,800 rpm.
