Like those Japanese rivals, the CK1 is a fairly stylish air-cooled, four-stroke single. Unlike them, it costs under two grand. All-new commuter aims to fill the gap between cheap and cheerful Chinese offerings and more proven, pricier, Japanese ones. It succeeds, too, being well-specced, stylish and well priced. Not perfect, it arguably delivers the best of both worlds
The 2006 MY Kymco CK 125 sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission and can produce 12 horsepower and 9 Nm of torque. This naked machine addresses riders who want an entry-level motorcycle that looks the part, but also offers an ease-of-use comparable with a scooter. It comes standard with five-spoked, aluminium wheels, a front disc brake, a chain final drive and a dual seat, for the eventual pillion.
