KTM 390 DUKE (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The KTM 390 Duke was a standard naked bike produced by KTM from 2013 until the present (2023). The bike was assembled by Bajaj Auto and KTM Asia Motorcycle Manufacturing Inc.

The motorcycle was developed by Bajaj Auto and KTM engineers in a joint program. The concept was developed in Austria, and its design and final product development were done by Bajaj in India.

In 2017, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer launched the KTM 390 Duke, a machine with a state-of-the-art single-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts that once again underlined KTM's development strength.

Over its production years, it received several updates, like the one in 2017, comprising a larger front brake disc, a modified headlight with LED, a TFT display with phone paring capability, an increased seat height, a smaller wheelbase, manually-adjustable brake and clutch levers, a larger fuel tank, and a ride-by-wire system.

In the performance department, the 2017 KTM 390 Duke had installed a 373cc four-stroke liquid-cooled one-cylinder engine underneath its fuel tank, managed by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system. As for the power figures, the engine delivered 44 hp at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.

Its engine was married to a six-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate manual clutch that redirected the power to the rear wheel via a final chain drive.
