In 2018, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS, a sport-touring motorcycle that mixed the soul of a Ninja ZX-14R with advanced technology and premium accessories topped by a massive 1,352cc supersport engine.

The model featured lots of top-notch refinements such as a supersport engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that offered low-mid range power with high rpm performance, a rigid monocoque frame that provided agile handling with high rider feedback, and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive Technology (KCBT) braking system that linked the front and rear brakes.

In addition, the 2018 Kawasaki Concours 14 also featured an electrically adjustable windshield with a three-position vent for more comfort and standard saddlebags that used the ignition key for locking, unlocking, installing, and uninstalling thanks to the integrated mounting system.

The bike featured a sculpted seat that was narrower at the front for a good reach to the ground and more comfort, while the rear was flat and long for maximized passenger comfort.

As for power, the 2018 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS, also known as the 1400GTR took its thrust from a 1,352cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 155 hp at 8,800 rpm, 160 hp at 8,800 rpm with ram air at full potential, and 136 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque with a peak at 6,200 rpm.

As for braking performance, the ABS-assisted braking power was handled by two 310 mm discs with four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 270 mm disc squeezed by a two-piston caliper on the rear wheel.
