The Indian Army Model 841 was created especially for the US troops in World War II, after the United States War Department asked Indian and Harley Davidson to make as many of their side-valve V-Twins as they could. This machine had a 745cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin engine paired to a four-speed manual transmission, and could produce a claimed 25 horsepower at 4600 rpm. All models were fitted with laced wheels, leather saddlebags, pull-back handlebars, a large, 5-gallon fuel tank and a single seat.
