The 1981 MY Harley Davidson FSX 1340 comes with features such as a chromed, two-into-one exhaust system, a telescopic front fork coupled to dual shock absorbers in the rear, a dual seat with lumbar support for the rider, chromed engine covers, cast-aluminium wheels, a chromed headlight, an analogue instrumentation panel and dual front disc brakes.

In the engine department it is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled, 1337cc, 45-degree V-Twin powerplant that was paired to a four-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 67 horsepower at 5800 rpm.
