The 1989 MY Gilera Saturno 500 has standard fittings such as a steel, trellis frame, die-cast aluminium wheels, a single seat with lumbar support for the rider, a half-fairing with a windscreen, front and rear disc brakes, a Marzocchi suspension package composed of a 40mm telescopic fork coupled to a an adjustable monoshock in the rear, an analogue instrument cluster and a side-mounted, high exhaust system.
In the engine department it is powered by a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 492cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can produce a claimed 44 horsepower and 46 Nm of torque.
