The Spanish engineers from Gas Gas have designed the 2006 MY EC 450 FSE as a middle-weight off-road machine, suitable for all categories of riders and off-road tracks. It comes with a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic front fork, an Ohlins monoshock with a progressive linkage in the rear, a deltabox-type cromoly frame with an aluminium swingarm, front and rear disc brakes with Nissin calipers, laced wheels with off-road tires mounted on them, wide handlebars, a race-inspired livery and an under-seat mounted exhaust system.
In the engine department it sports a four-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 449cc, single cylinder powerhouse that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 50 horsepower and 49 Nm of torque.
