The 2006 MY Gas Gas EC 300 has standard features such as a digital instrumentation display, a deltabox-type cromoly frame with an aluminium swingarm, a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork coupled to an Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage in the rear, front and rear disc brakes, a racey livery, a single seat and laced wheels with off-road tires mounted on them.

The Spanish engineers have designed this machine as a light and agile, but still gritty, off-road machine, suitable for riders of all experiences. It has, at its heart, a two-stroke, liquid-cooled, 298cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive and can produce a claimed 50 horsepower and 49 Nm of torque.
