The 2006 MY Gas Gas EC 250 boasts a maximum power output of 50 horsepower and 46 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 249cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
Also, it has standard fittings such as a deltabox-type frame with an aluminium swingarm, laced wheels with off-road tires mounted on them, an analogue instrumentation panel, a 45mm Marzocchi telescopic front fork, an Ohlins rear monoshock with progressive linkage, a single seat, an under-seat exhaust system and tips the scale at just 102 kg.
