The 2005 MY Gas Gas EC 200 is powered by a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 199cc, single cylinder lump, that can produce a claimed 38 horsepower and 32 Nm of torque and was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
Standard fittings include an under-seat mounted exhaust system, a deltabox-type frame with an aluminium swingarm, a race-like livery, laced wheels with a large, 21" front one, off-road tires, and a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a race-grade Ohlins monoshock with a progressive linkage in the rear.
