In 2013, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring, a machine similar to the standard version but fitted with several touring-oriented accessories that improved overall capabilities.

The 2013 Touring machine was fitted with heated grips for better comfort in cold weather, 50-liter side-mounted hard panniers for increased storage, and a center stand, taking the already versatile Multistrada to a whole new level of touring machines.

Like the other S-suffixed model in the range, the 1200S Touring model packed a 48 mm fully adjustable USD Sachs fork on the front with electronic adjustment and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities.

In the braking department, the bike packed two 320 mm discs with four-piston Brembo calipers on the front wheel and a 265 mm disc with a dual-piston floating caliper on the rear wheel, working together with an Anti-Lock Braking System.

In the visual departments, the bike was fitted with standard features, such as a half-front fairing with a dual headlight design and a tall windscreen, a two-piece dual seat, side-mounted panniers, a single-sided swingarm, and 10-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.

As for power, the 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring packed underneath its fuel tank a 1,198cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 160 hp with a peak at 9,500 rpm and 136 Nm (100 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
