The house of Borgo Panigale first manufactured the 2013 Hyperstrada. Ducati has the taken the base of the model and updated it for the 2014 model with a touring windscreen, touring seat with pillion grab handles, side luggage carriers, engine sump guard, extended front and rear mudguards, and a center stand.

In 2015 Ducati released the new Hyperstrada model, a more road-friendly version of the Hypermotard series that comes with standard features such as detachable saddlebags, a windshield, improved ergonomics, can even be enjoyed two-up thanks to the wider seat, and the pillion grab handles.

It features the new trellis frame design and larger fuel tank, like the other models from the series, which increase its range and maneuverability.

The new 2015 Ducati Hypestrada has its heartbeat set by the 821cc Testastretta Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine that develops 110 hp of power at 9,250 rpm and 89 (66 lb-ft) of torque at 7,750 rpm.

For suspension, the 2015 model has a 43mm USD fork on the front and a progressive linkage with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping monoshock on the rear.

The braking system is composed of two 320 mm semi-floating discs on the front and a 245 mm disc on the rear, both squeezed by the Brembo calipers with ABS 9MP as standard.

The 2015 model has 181 kg (399 lbs) dry weight.
