Ducati 899 Panigale was a sports motorcycle built in 2013 to replace the 848, and was the first medium-sized Ducati motorcycle that used the Superquadro engine. Unlike the 1199 models, the 899 Panigale has a conventional two-sided swingarm. The decision of using a two-sided swingarm was made by Ducati because of the substantial upgrades applied to the bike.

In 2015 the new model of the 899 Panigale was brought to the market by Ducati and was one of the preferred choices of superbike fans worldwide.

The heart of the 899 Panigale was the 898cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine. The pulse from the engine released 148 hp at 10,750 rpm and 99 Nm (73 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm of torque. Attached to the engine was a six-speed gearbox with DSQ (Ducati Quick Shift).

The monocoque aluminum frame used the engine as a stressed member to become more rigid and lose weight. The 899 got to a weight of 169 kg (373 lbs).

For suspension, the 2015 model used a fully adjustable BPF, 43 mm chromed inner tubes front fork, and a fully adjustable unit at the back.

In braking terms, the new 2015 model was relying on the two Brembo 320 mm semi-floating discs at the front and one 245 mm disc at the rear.

The 2015 Ducati 899 Panigale was integrated with three riding modes, Race, Sport, and Wet, that ensured better power delivery and rider safety, and was for sale in 2022 for $11,400.
