The 2012 MY Can-Am Spyder RT-S sports a powerful, liquid-cooled, 998cc, Rotax V-Twin powerplant that produces 100 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque. Being an "S"-suffixed version from Can-Am's touring family, it has improvements such as the aluminium six-spoked wheels with Dark Mist Gray finish, electronically adjustable rear air suspension with auto leveling, two additional rear speaker with independent passenger audio controls, fog lamps and LED running lights, a 3.5mm audio player input and a front cargo light and front liner, plus chrome-plating on various components. All these improvements make for a trike better suited for longer hauls, as well as a more powerful one.
