The BMW G 310 GS was developed by BMW and TVS Motor Company of India as an entry-level dual-sport motorcycle.

BMW announced in 2013 the collaboration with motorcycle manufacturer TVS for the production of a series of sub-500cc bikes. The BMW G 310 GS the sister model of the BMW G 310 R, was BMW’s first time developing a sub-500cc bike. Under the cod-name BMW K03, given by the first collaborative product of BMW-TSV, it started as a test bike developed in India and sent to Germany for further testing and modifications.

The GS is an adventure motorcycle that can be also used away from paved roads and will give a comfortable ride thanks to the GS ergonomics and high-quality equipment. It has a powerful 313cc engine based on a single cylinder that now is available with E-GAS, which makes the acceleration significantly better. The GS develops 33 bhp (25 kW) and a torque of 28 Nm (21 lbs-ft) that will take it to a max speed of 143 kph (88 mph).

A great feature is the automatic idle which makes the engine run very stable when you start. Everything is going to be under control, thanks to the clutch and brake levers that can be easily adjusted for all types of hands.

The BMW G 310 R was an entry-level standard machine developed by BMW Motorrad in collaboration with TVS Motor Company of India and first released in 2015. In 2018, the German maker launched the BMW G 310 GS, an adventure machine based on the G 310 R model.

The G 310 R was BMW's first low-end sub-300cc motorcycle sold under their badge. The bike debuted in November 2015 and started selling it in 2018. It was powered by a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine also present on the TVS Apache RR 310 model.

The BMW G 310 R was intended to increase BMW's Presence worldwide, being designed in both India and Europe. The machine's design was handled by BMW in Germany and was built and assembled at TVS's plant in Tamil Nadu, India.

In the visual department, the BMW G 310 R had standard features, such as a single headlight, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, an up-swept right-side-mounted exhaust system, a side stand, and five-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The bike was built on a tubular steel bridge-type frame with a 41 mm upside-down telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities.

Underneath its fuel tank, the 2017 BMW G 310 R had installed a 313cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm (21 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.

The BMW G650GS was a motorcycle that debuted in 2008 as a revival of the 2007 BMW F650GS under a new designation in the American, Latin American, Chinese, Taiwan, and Australian markets.

Compared to the earlier model, the BMW G650GS packed a slightly more powerful engine that delivered three hp more than the predecessor and a more powerful alternator. In addition, the bike was supplied with ABS and heated grips as standard equipment in the United States and Australia.

The engine was no longer assembled by Rotax in Austria. Instead, it was assembled by Loncin in China. The engine still used parts manufactured by Rotax and was sent to Germany, where the machines were assembled.

In 2016, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW G650GS, an off-road motorcycle in its ninth year of production that followed the same recipe as previous models, packing the same technical and performance specifications.

The bike packed standard features, including a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a small luggage rack, an under-seat-mounted stainless steel exhaust system, and 10-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

As for the power figures, the 2016 BMW G650GS had its heartbeat set by a 652cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, boasting 50 hp with a peak force at 6,500 rpm and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) torque at 5,000 rpm.
