BIMOTA DB8 SP (2011-2012)

The 2012 MY Bimota DB8 SP is the single-seat version of the bike, that has a frame with carbon-fiber parts, which reduce its overall weight and make it more stable. It has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected, 1198cc, V-Twin desmodromic engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, that can produce a claimed 170 horsepower and 131 Nm of torque.

It also shares features with the cheaper, two-seater version of the SB8, such as a digital instrumentation panel, blacked-out, forged-aluminium wheels, a Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork, a fully-adjustable Extreme Tech mono-shock in the rear, a Brembo braking system with dual front disc brakes and a single disc in the rear, plus ABS in the front.
