2017 - Present

This model is powered by a 4-valve, air and oil-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 366cc engine, placing it in the midsize displacement class (400cc - 600cc class). A cylinder bore of 3 in and a stroke of 2.8 in make this engine oversquare, meaning that it is more powerful than a similarly-sized engine with a smaller bore. The Alterra 400 comes standard with a 4-speed automatic and CVT transmission featuring an automatic clutch.
