In 1991, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Europa 125, a road motorcycle in its second year of production. The bike had the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the previous model without any changes.

It was a road motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 1990 until 1993 in two displacements, 50cc and 125cc. The bike was part of the same family as the Aprilia AF1 sports motorcycle made from 1986 to 1992.

Its smaller brother, the Europa 50, was produced between 1990 and 1992, featuring the same chassis as the Aprilia AF1 50, which was also used on the Aprilia RS 50. The only difference between the two machines was the five-speed gearbox instead of the three-speed unit used on the AF1.

The bike was characterized by standard features, such as a square-tube aluminum frame, a round headlight, a two-piece dual seat, a single exhaust system mounted high on the left side, a single-sided swingarm, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

The bike's front end was controlled by a telescopic fork and a single 320 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper. In contrast, the rear end was handled by a monoshock and a 240 mm braked disc tied to a single-piston caliper.

As for the power figures, the 1991 Aprilia Europa 125 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mounted underneath its fuel tank, delivering 29 hp with a peak force at 11,000 rpm and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) torque at 9,250 rpm.

The Europe 50 model was manufactured between 1990 and 1992, wearing the same chassis as the Aprilia AF1 50, which was also used on the Aprilia RS 50. The only difference between the two models was the five-speed gearbox instead of the three-speed unit used on the AF1.

In 1990, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Europa 125, the naked version of the Aprilia AF1. It was sportier and retained many AF1 mechanics, but it weighed 16 kg (35 lbs) less without the fairing.

It packed the same two-stroke engine as the AF1 model, slightly detuned and with a shorter gear ratio that improved the bike's acceleration without affecting the maximum speed of 150 kph (62 mph) too much at the time.
