Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle maker founded by Alberto Beggio after World War II in Noale, Italy. At first, the company manufactured bicycles and then moved on to build scooters and small displacement motorcycles.

After some time, the company started manufacturing large sports bikes, like the 100cc V-twin Aprilia RSV Mille and Aprilia V4 RSV4. The company was named after the pre-war Lancia Aprilia, and in 2004, it was acquired by Piaggio.

In 2003, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV Mana, a prototype powered by a 1,000cc V-twin liquid-cooled engine. Mana means power and energy in Maori, so the maker tried to capture the same elements in their concept machine.

Visually, the bike featured an aggressive design with a small front cowl, two small round headlights, a wind deflector, a one-piece dual seat, a single exhaust system mounted on the right side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a 50 mm Marzocchi hydraulic fork on the front with 150 mm of travel and a single-sided aluminum alloy swingarm with progressive linkage on the rear.

The braking power was achieved by two 320 mm discs coupled to four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

As for power, the 2003 Aprilia ETV Mana had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering an output power of 100 hp at 8,250 rpm and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
