APRILIA Tuono 1000 R (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Tuono 1000 was a naked motorcycle made by Aprilia in 2002. It was based on the Aprilia RSV Mille and shared the same engine, transmission, frame, and some of the suspension components as the RSV 1000 R superbike.

The second generation of the Tuono model was released in 2006 and was based on the 2004-2009 Aprilia RSV 1000 R superbike. The difference between the Tuono and RSV 1000 R models was the rear shock, which made the Tuono less usable on the track.

In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Tuono 1000 R, a naked motorcycle in its second year of production. It came with the same package as the previous model without significant modifications.

In the power department, the 2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, boasting 139 hp at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 8,500 rpm.

The bike packed a 43 mm upside-down adjustable Showa fork with 120 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable Achs shock absorber with 130 mm of travel on the rear, offering excellent suspension performance and handling.

The bike's 17-inch wheels were fitted with two 320 mm stainless steel floating discs on the front and a 220 mm stainless steel disc on the rear. The front discs were squeezed by four-piston Brembo Gold calipers, while the rear one was engaged by a dual-piston Brembo Gold caliper.
