APRILIA SXV 450 (2006-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia SXV, alongside the RXV, was a dual-sports supermoto motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2006 to 2010. The SXV was available in a 450cc version and a larger 550cc displacement.

The bike's frame was made of tubular steel and aluminum plates. The compact engine was mounted into the frame so that the air filter was placed on top of the engine rather than in the more traditional location.

In the visual department, the bike had standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a tiny cowl, a one-piece dual seat, an engine cover, a dual-sided swingarm, an under-seat-mounted exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels with road tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a 48 mm upside-down adjustable telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber tied to a box section aluminum swingarm, offering excellent suspension performance and handling.

The bike's wheels were fitted with a 320 mm disc assisted by a four-piston caliper on the front and a 240 mm brake disc handled by a dual-piston caliper, providing optimum stopping power.

As for power, the 2006 Aprilia SXV 450 had its soul brought to life by a 449cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered 60 hp with a peak force at 13,000 rpm. The power was transmitted to the rear axle via a final chain drive.
