APRILIA SX 125 (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia SX 125 was a supermoto motorcycle produced by Aprilia since 2008. The bike was destined for young sports riders and incorporated many features that contributed to the tremendous success of the RSV and SXV models.

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SX 125, a more on-road-oriented motorcycle in its second production year. It featured the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the previous model without any modifications.

In addition, Aprilia was the first manufacturer to introduce dramatic innovations to the design of enduro and motard motorcycles. The SX and RX share a clear Aprilia family look inspired by their bigger sisters, establishing a whole new trend in off-road design.

The 2009 Aprilia SX 125 was powered by a 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a Dell'Orto carburetor feeding the piston, delivering an output power of 22 hp and 16 Nm (12 lb-ft) torque.

Braking-wise, the bike's wire-spoke wheels were fitted with a 260 mm brake disc on the front and a 220 mm brake disc on the rear. A two-piston caliper handled the front wheel, while a single-piston caliper controlled the rear wheel.

As for the visual department, the motorcycle was fitted with standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a one-piece dual seat, a high-mounted exhaust system, a dual-sided swingarm, a side stand, and wire-spoke wheels with aluminum rims and road tires.
