In 1983, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ST 125, a small displacement entry-level motorcycle in its second year of production. It was manufactured until 1984, packing the same specifications without modifications.

The Aprilia ST 125 was a small displacement bike produced by Aprilia from 1982 to 1984. It was an entry-level motorcycle best suited for young and inexperienced riders.

It was built around a double-cradle tubular steel frame with a 32 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork handling the front suspension and a single shock absorber on the rear, providing optimum suspension performance and handling.

In the braking department, the bike's wheels were fitted with a 230 mm brake disc mounted on the front wheel and a 160 mm drum braking unit mounted on the rear wheel, offering optimum braking performance.

Aesthetically, the bike packed standard features, such as a single headlight unit, an engine spoiler, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab rail, a center stand, a dual-sided swingarm, and seven-spoke aluminum wheels.

In the performance department, the 1983 Aprilia ST 125 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mounted underneath its fuel tank, delivering an output power of 18 hp with a peak force at 8,250 rpm and 14 Nm (10 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.
