APRILIA SR Max 125 (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2010, the Italian motorcycle maker introduced the Aprilia SR Max 125 alongside a larger 300cc version with the style inspired by the Aprilia RSV4 Superbike. The scooter was created to go head-to-head with larger scooters like the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max.

The scooter's visual department was characterized by standard features, such as a body covered with fairings, a dual headlight system, a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

It was built around a double-cradle steel trellis frame with a 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork on the front and preload-adjustable shock absorbers on the rear, delivering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for the stopping power, the scooter relied on a 260 mm brake disc mounted on the front wheel and a 240 mm brake disc mounted on the rear wheel. Both discs were handled by hydraulic calipers.

As for power, the 2010 Aprilia SR Max 125 had installed a 124cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine underneath its fairings, boasting 15 hp with a peak force at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm.

The power generated by the 124cc engine was transferred to a CVT automatic transmission with a dry centrifugal clutch that sent it to the rear wheel through a final belt drive.
