The Aprilia SR50 was a scooter manufactured by Aprilia in 1992 and produced until 2021. Over 800,000 units were sold in 1992, and several engines were used, sourced from Morini, Piaggio, and Minarelli.

With the Aprilia SR50, the maker claimed several firsts in the scooter market, like 13-inch wheels, liquid-cooled engines, double disc braking, and a direct injection engine. Also, the scooter's performance-oriented suspension, tires, and engine were consistent with its appearance.

Its digital instrument panel offered readings for speed, odometer, clock, trip counter, fuel level, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. In addition, the color and graphic schemes varied by country.

In the performance department, the 2009 Aprilia SR50 took its muscles from a 49cc liquid-cooled two-stroke single-cylinder engine fed by a fuel injection system, pushing the small machine to a top speed of 90 kph (56 mph).

The scooter was made around a split single-cradle frame with high-tensile steel tubes. It was coupled to a hydraulic telescopic fork with 90 mm of travel on the front and a single shock absorber on the rear, with the engine acting as a swingarm.

The scooter's racing style was complemented by standard features, such as a front fairing with dual headlights, a small wind deflector, a two-up seat with passenger grab rails, and five-spoke alloy wheels.
