APRILIA Sportcity One 50 Street (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle maker introduced the Aprilia Sportcity One 50 Street, the youngest member of the Sportcity family at the time, retaining all the nifty features of the previous machine and packing a sweet blend of styling and functionality.

The Aprilia Sportcity was a scooter made by Aprilia from 2004 until 2013. It belonged to the high-wheel scooter category and was also sold by Derbi from 2008 to 2013 as the Derbi Rambla.

The scooter's visual department was characterized by standard fittings, like a dual headlight system, a small wind deflector, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and ten-spoke lightweight wheels.

Suspension-wise, the two-wheeler packed a hydraulic telescopic fork on the front with 85 mm travel and a spring-preload adjustable single shock absorber on the rear with 76 mm wheel travel.

As for the stopping power, the scooter packed a 220 mm brake rotor with a dual-piston floating caliper on the front wheel and a 140 mm drum braking unit on the rear, offering optimum stopping performance.

Power-wise, the 2009 Aprilia Sportcity One 50 Street was set in motion by a 49cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 4 hp at 6,500 rpm and 4 Nm (3 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
