APRILIA Sportcity 250 (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Sportcity was a scooter made by Aprilia from 2004 until 2013. It belonged to the high-wheel scooter category and was also sold by Derbi from 2008 to 2013 as the Derbi Rambla.

The first series was manufactured from June 2004 to March 2006 in two displacements, 125 and 200cc. They were powered by the Piaggio Leader four-stroke engine borrowed from the Beverly and was characterized by liquid cooling and four valves per cylinder.

In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia Sportcity 250, a scooter part of the second series, comprising models from 2006 to 2008. The first one was introduced in 2006 and was adapted to Euro 3 anti-pollution regulations. It had a visual restyling and a 250cc displacement with electronic fuel injection.

In the visual department, the scooter had standard fittings, such as a dual headlight system, a small wind deflector, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, a storage compartment under the seat that fitted almost any helmet (not a full-faced one), and six-spoke aluminum wheels.

The 2007 Aprilia Sportcity 250 was set in motion by a 244cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in front of the rear wheel. It was controlled by a fuel injection system and delivered an output power of 22 hp at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
