APRILIA SMV 750 Dorsoduro (2011-2015) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SMV 750 Dorsoduro, a supermotard motorcycle in its fourth year of production. Over its production period, the bike received several aesthetic modifications, delivering the same performance figures.

The Aprilia Dorsoduro was a V-twin line of motorcycles part of the supermotard class. The line comprised three models: the 750cc made from 2008 to 2015, the 1200cc produced from 2011 until the present, and the 900cc model manufactured from 2017 until the present.

It packed standard features, such as a single headlight unit, a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, and lightweight ten-spoke alloy wheels.

The bike was built around a steel trellis frame with a 43 mm inverted telescopic fork on the front, offering 167 mm of travel and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear with 150 mm wheel travel. Two 320 mm discs coupled to four-piston calipers mounted on the front wheel and a 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper mounted on the rear wheel achieved the braking power.

As for the power figures, the 2011 Aprilia SMV 750 Dorsoduro had its heartbeat set by a 749cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine with a fuel injection feeding the piston, delivering an output power of 92 hp at 8,750 rpm and 81 Nm (60 lb-ft) torque at 4,500 rpm.
