APRILIA SL 1000 Falco (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2005, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SL 1000 Falco, a sports-touring-oriented machine that remained essentially unchanged over its production period, delivering the exact technical, visual, and performance specifications.

The Aprilia SL 1000 Falco, also known as the Aprilia SL Mille, was a sports motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia between 1999 and 2005. The bike was powered by a detuned 998cc V-twin Rotax engine derived from the RSV Mille model.

In addition, the SL 1000 Falco was a half-faired motorcycle that competed in the market against the Honda VTR1000 and Suzuki TL1000S. The production ceased in 2003, but sales continued into 2004.

The motorcycle packed standard fittings, such as a half-fairing, a single headlight unit, a windscreen, a single seat with a passenger seat cover and grab rails, a dual exhaust system with a silencer on each side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Its suspension system comprised a 43 mm upside-down Showa fork on the front with 120 mm of travel and an aluminum swingarm tied to an adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 130 mm of travel.

As for the power figures, the bike delivered an output power of 118 hp with maximum strength at 9,250 rpm and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm, coming from a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system in charge.
