The Aprilia SL 1000 Falco, also known as the Aprilia SL Mille, was a sports machine produced by Aprilia between 1999 and 2005. The bike was powered by a detuned 998cc V-twin Rotax engine derived from the RSV Mille model.

In 2001, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SL 1000 Falco, a sports motorcycle in its third consecutive year of production. It came with the same package as previous models, featuring the same specifications without any modifications.

Visually, the bike was fitted with standard features, like a half-fairing, a single headlight unit, a windscreen, a single seat with a passenger seat cover, a dual exhaust system with a silencer on each side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a 43 mm upside-down Showa fork on the front with 120 mm of travel and an aluminum swingarm tied to an adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 130 mm of travel.

In the braking department, the bike's wheels were stopped by two 320 mm brake discs assisted by four-piston calipers on the front and a 220 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear.

The 2001 Aprilia SL 1000 Falco was powered by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, boasting 118 hp with maximum strength at 9,250 rpm and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.
