The 2014 MY Aprilia Scarabeo 500 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 460cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and can produce a claimed 39 horsepower and 43 Nm of torque.
This maxi-scooter is sure to appeal to those riders who want a classic Vespa look on their machine, but also all the amenities that come with modern technologies. The key features for this machine would be the dual brake discs in the front and a single disc in the rear, a suspension package composed of a telescopic front fork and dual adjustable shocks in the rear, a dual seat, passenger grab rails, an under-seat storage compartment, light alloy, 16", five-spoked wheels, and a small windscreen.
