APRILIA RXV 550 (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, the Italian bike maker released the Aprilia RXV 550, an off-road motorcycle that debuted in 2006. It was a powerful enduro machine capable of tackling any track and rough terrain.

The 2011 machine came in the same shape and form as the previous model, featuring the same performance, technical, and visual specifications without modifications. The RXV 550 delivered more power and torque than its smaller sister.

In the aesthetic department, the bike had standard features, such as wire-spoke wheels with black rims and off-road tires, an engine plate, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, a single two-tone seat, a small headlight, and a high-mounted front fender.

Braking-wise, the motorcycle's wheels were fitted with a 270 mm brake disc tied to a four-piston caliper on the front end and a 240 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear, offering excellent stopping power.

The bike was built around a chrome-molybdenum steel perimeter frame with vertical aluminum members that housed the bike's suspension system, comprised of a 45 mm upside-down adjustable telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock on the rear, delivering excellent handling capabilities.

The 2011 Aprilia RXV 550 had its heartbeat set by a 549cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine mounted underneath the fuel tank, boasting 70 hp at 13,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 10,900 rpm.
