APRILIA RXV 450 (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RXV was a line of four-stroke V-twin off-road bikes made by Aprilia from 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc versions. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.

In 2009, the Italian bike maker released the Aprilia RXV 450, the smaller-displacement sister of the 550cc version, with several improvements and modifications, enhancing its overall capabilities.

Some improvements for the 2009 model year included the new lighter and more flexible rear swingarm, a new FIM regulation-compliant exhaust system, a lighter and more compact rear brake caliper, a new fuel system that provided smoother power delivery, a more lightweight rear subframe with a 5 mm lower seat, and black rims.

Aesthetically, the motorcycle packed standard fittings, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight, a single two-tone seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust, a dual-sided aluminum swingarm, an engine plate, and wire-spoke wheels with black rims and off-road tires.

As for the power figures, the 2009 Aprilia RXV 450 had its heartbeat set by a 452cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled powerhouse that delivered an output power of 60 hp with maximum strength at 13,000 rpm and 54 Nm (40 lb-ft) torque at 11,000 rpm.

The off-road machine was equipped with a five-speed manual transmission that took power from the engine and sent it to the rear wheel via a final chain drive, spinning it to a top speed of 183 kph (114 mph).
