APRILIA RSV4 RF (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2017, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia RSV4 RF, a motorcycle made in limited numbers, 500 units to be more exact. The bike had highly sophisticated and comprehensive electronic aids.

It was equipped with the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) as standard, which included several electronic aids, such as Aprilia Traction Control (ATC), Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC), Aprilia Launch Control (ALC), Aprilia Quick Shift (AQS), Aprilia Pit Limiter (APL), and Aprilia Cruise Control (ACC).

It was derived from the base RSV4 model manufactured by Aprilia in 2009 as a successor model for the Aprilia RSV 1000 R. The RSV4 continued production until the present (2023). At first, the bike was offered in RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R limited edition versions.

In 2016, the bikes were offered in RSV4 RR and RSV4 RF versions. Both machines were developed to take advantage of and comply with the 2016 Superbike rules, which allowed fewer modifications for production motorcycles. The 2016 model was lighter, more powerful, and had improved handling and electronics.

In the performance department, the 2017 Aprilia RSV4 RF was powered by a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-4 powerhouse with a fuel injection system feeding the pistons, boasting 201 hp with maximum force at 13,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) torque at 10,500 rpm.

The bike was kept on the safe side by a pair of 320 mm floating stainless steel discs coupled to four-piston Brembo calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm brake disc tied to a dual-piston Brembo caliper on the rear wheel.
