In 2012, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS, a perfect choice for riders searching for a liter-class machine but not precisely that keen to ride the SBK replica. As its name suggests, it featured an ABS, enhancing its maneuverability.

The RSV4 was Aprilia's flagship model that debuted in 2009 as a replacement model for the Aprilia RSV 1000 R and continued production until the present (2023). It was available in RSV4 Factory and a limited run of 350 units of RSV4 R limited edition versions.

The bike provided an aggressive appearance and was fitted with standard features, such as a half fairing with a small windscreen, a single seat with a passenger seat cover, a four-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right side, and three-spoke lightweight wheels.

Compared to the Factory model with race-grade Ohlins suspensions, the R version packed a 43 mm upside-down Sachs racing fork on the front and an adjustable Sachs monoshock on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for the power figures, the 2012 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS had its soul brought to life by a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-4 engine mounted underneath its fuel tank. The fuel-injected engine boasted 180 hp at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.
