The Aprilia RSV4 is a super-sports race-grade motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia as a flagship model since 2009, when it replaced the Aprilia RSV 1000 R, and has continued production until the present (2023).
The bike was unveiled on February 22, 2008, at the International Piaggio Group Convention in Milan, Italy, and the production started in the same year. Its power came from a 999cc V-4 engine, the first production four-cylinder unit made by Aprilia.
In 2012, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV4 R APRC, a sports machine that featured the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) package with several technical goodies, making things go as planned.
The bike had standard features in the aesthetic department, such as a half fairing with a small windscreen, a single seat, a four-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right side, and lightweight six-spoke alloy wheels.
The bike was built around a twin-spar adjustable aluminum frame with a 43 mm upside-down adjustable Ohlins fork guiding the front wheel and an adjustable Ohlins monoshock with a dual-sided aluminum swingarm controlling the rear wheel.
As for the power figures, the 2012 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC had its heartbeat set by a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-4 engine that delivered an output power of 180 hp with a peak force at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.
