The Aprilia RSV4 is a super bike manufactured by Aprilia from 2009 as a successor to the Aprilia RSV 1000 R and has continued production until the present (2023). It was available in two versions: the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R limited edition, manufactured in only 350 units.
In 2011, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RSV4 R APRC, a sports machine that packed the same electronics as the more expensive RSV4 Factory APRC model. It was sold at an MRSP of $16,700 in the United States.
The bike's electronic package was impressive, featuring eight-level traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and quick shift. In addition, the bike's engine also featured better lubrication and a lighter exhaust system, and the first three gears were revised for better acceleration.
The bike was built around a twin-spar adjustable aluminum frame with a 43 mm adjustable upside-down Showa fork guiding the front wheel and a dual-sided aluminum swingarm with an adjustable Sachs shock absorber controlling the rear wheel.
In the braking department, the bike relied on two 320 mm stainless steel floating discs coupled to four-piston Brembo calipers on the front and a 220 mm brake disc with a two-piston floating Brembo caliper on the rear.
The 2011 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC had installed a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-4-cylinder engine at its core, boasting 180 hp with a peak force at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.
