The Aprilia RSV4 R is a superbike manufactured by Aprilia in 2009 as a replacement model for the Aprilia RSV 1000 R. It is Aprilia's flagship model and was manufactured until the present (2023). Starting in 2016, the bike was offered in RSV4 RR and RSV4 RF versions.

The bike was unveiled on February 22, 2008, at the International Piaggio Group Convention in Milan, Italy. The bike's production started in the same year. In addition, the bike was powered by the company's first V-4-cylinder production engine.

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, a sports machine in its first year of production. It is developed for those riders searching for a sports motorcycle but not one loaded with WSBK-grade features.

The bike's suspension system comprised a 43 mm upside-down Ohlins adjustable fork with 120 mm of travel on the front and a double-sided aluminum swingarm paired with an adjustable Ohlins shock absorber with 130 mm of travel on the rear.

The braking performance was handled by two 320 mm stainless steel floating brake discs with four-piston calipers mounted on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc with a dual-piston floating Brembo caliper on the rear, providing excellent stopping power.

As for power, the 2009 Aprilia RSV4 Factory had its soul brought to life by a 999cc four-stroke V-4 liquid-cooled powerhouse that delivered an output power of 180 hp at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque with a peak force at 10,000 rpm.
